1.   Course Program Plan

The main purpose of this program would be to integrate courses from the College of Marine Commerce’s four departments’ and one graduate program. This program would include Shipping and Transportation Management, Business Computing, Supply Chain Management, Marine Leisure Management, Marine Affairs and Business Management. In this program students would earn 12 credits (6 compulsory and 6 elective).

(1) Compulsory Subjects include: Introduction to Marine Business (3 credits) and Special Topics on Marine Business (3 credits).

(2) Elective Subjects include:

● General Management: Overseas Visit (3 credits), Research Methods (3 credits), English Writings and
     Presentations (3 credits).

● Shipping and Transportation Management: International Logistics Management (3 credits), Ocean
    Transportation Management (3 credits), Air Transportation Management (3 credits).

● Marine Leisure Management: Marine Leisure Management (2 credits).

● Supply Chain Management: Cold Chain Management (2 credits), Supply Chain Management (2 credits).

● Business Computing: Marine Information Management (2 credits), Information Management of
    International Logistics (2 credits).

● Marine Affairs and Business Management: Marine Affairs Management (2 credits).

2.   Program Regulations

(1) The program will only be offered during daytime hours and is primarily for National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology’s daytime students.

(2) Students must take a minimum of 12 credits (6 compulsory and 6 electives). Upon completion of the required subjects, students will apply for the related certificate before graduation.

(3) Enrollment Quota: Unlimited (Dependent on each course).

(4) Application Procedure: Students must apply by the second week of the semester. Applications must include an official application form and process. Forms must be submitted to the Dean’s office. Students’ approval will be considered individually by the college.

(5) Students must add or drop credits within the stipulated time period.

(6) Credit courses are primarily instructed in English.

(7) Cross-field Courses are only offered for undergraduate students in the College of Marine Commerce and are not counted as course credits for postgraduate programs.
