College History

• 2004 02/01

  The school was elevated to National Kaohsiung Marine University, in which three colleges were constructed: Shipping and Management, Hydrosphere Science and Ocean Engineering. The college of Shipping and Management including five departments: Shipping Technology, Marine Engineering, Shipping and Transportation Management (with master degree program), Information Management, Logistic Management and Water Sport Management.

• 2008 02/01

  The college of Shipping and Management was divided into two colleges: Management and Maritime. The college of management is thus officially established, including four departments: Shipping and Transportation Management (with master degree program), Information Management, Logistic Management and Water Sport Management.

• 2008 08/01

  The department of Water Sport Management was renamed Marine Leisure Management.

• 2010 08/01

  The master degree program, Marine Affairs and Business Administration, was established.

• 2012 08/01

  The department of Logistic Management added a master degree program.

• 2015 08/01

  Department of Marine Leisure Management added a master degree program.

• 2015 08/01

  The department of Logistic Management was renamed Supply Chain Management with master degree program.

• 2016 08/01

  Department of Information Management added a master degree program.

• 2016 08/01

  Marine Affairs and Business Administration was renamed Institute of Marine Affairs and Business Management

• 2019 08/01

  College of Management was renamed College of Marine Commerce, Department of Information Management was renamed Department of Business Computing.
